Web Designer – CSS, Flash or Silverlight
We have an excellent and tight relationship with this client, needing this web designer: responsibilities include the design and building of content management and marketing-related web sites and pages including incorporating graphic user interface (GUI) features and user experience (UX) designs, including CSS, X/HTML, Javascript, Flash (Actionscript) or Silverlight (XAML) for animation and video manipulation. Work from wireframes. Work with UX, UI, Ecommerce Manager, Director, VP, across teams, also working with .NET developers on their needs to help implement web designs, in example, functioning as “the glue” that holds the pieces of the ASP.NET pages together working from Visual Studio 2008 IDE and Dreamweaver. Maintain and provide ongoing design of the website content and structure. Image Editing (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Fireworks); HTML Editing (Adobe Dreamweaver); Vector Graphics (Adobe Illustrator, Flash, Microsoft Silverlight); Image optimization and slicing, image maps, animations; embedding multimedia and interactive media into web content.
Required Skills:
4+ years paid work experience, UI design and UX design principles, strong CSS, excellent markup (X/HTML), some scripting, Javascript, graphics, graphic art and motion graphics automation or video manipulation (Flash Actionscript or Silverlight XAML or Director). Some experience functioning as the glue that holds the pieces of the ASP.NET or PHP or ASP pages together working from Visual Studio or Dreamweaver. Image manipulation, optimization (photoshop or fireworks or illustrator) Animation with (Flash or Silverlight). Some experience with video or multimedia or interactive media to the web or multimedia design tools such as Flash, Silverlight or Adobe Director or multi-media authorware or instructional video required. W3C compliance, cross-browser compatibility, SEO practices, basic SQL queries or basic database concepts.
